Short answer: There is no Indore Metro to airport service today. The open line ends at Radisson Square (Malviya Nagar Chauraha). Reports say an underground stretch to the airport is scheduled to open by January 2030, but MPMRCL has not announced an opening date itself.

Indore Metro to airport: where the line stands today

- 13 more stations are under construction, towards Rajwada, Indore Junction and the Airport.
What reports say about the airport link
- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved a loan for the Indore Metro underground section in October 2025. It is about 8.6 km long with 7 stations, and it connects busy parts of the city with the airport.
- Railway Gazette and Free Press Journal both say this section is expected to open by January 2030.
- Free Press Journal reported in July 2025 that digging near the airport had started, and that the first underground station will be built inside the airport premises.
Why we say “not sure”
Dates on this project have already moved. In July 2025, a news report expected the Gandhi Nagar to Radisson stretch by January 2026. It opened in September 2026. So treat January 2030 as a target, not a promise. The reports we read do not say which stations the underground section will have, so we do not list them.
How to reach the airport until the Indore Metro to airport link opens
Take the metro to Radisson Square and continue by road. We have not confirmed any feeder service, so we do not list one. If MPMRCL announces one, we will add it here.
