Indore Metro Parking: What Has Been Said So Far

Short answer: Indore Metro parking is a known gap. Before the metro opened, a news report said not a single station had designated parking planned. In November 2025 the state minister called this a big mistake. We have not found an official list of stations with parking, so check before you leave home.

What has been said about Indore Metro parking

• April 2025 (before launch): Free Press Journal reported that none of the stations on the first phase had designated parking planned. A city engineer quoted in the report said two-wheeler parking is essential.
• November 2025: Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said the designers did not plan parking near stations and called it a big mistake. He asked the Indore Development Authority (IDA) to give land for station parking at a nominal price.
• The IDA suggested land near the Vijay Nagar intersection for parking at a metro station, according to the PTI report.

How to plan your trip without sure Indore Metro parking

• Open the page of your station from the Indore Metro stations list and check its gate and landmark.
• If you are not sure about parking, ask for a drop at the station by auto, e-rickshaw or a friend.
• Do not park on the road in front of an entrance. It can block people.
• Check the train timings before you go, so you do not miss the last train.

Will parking improve?
